Triangle Talent is hiring a Controller for a multinational company located in the Porto region - Santo Tirso.
Mission:
You will be responsible for providing the CFO and the executive team with transparent and solid financial data, advice and support in order to ensure that annual financial objectives are met, as well as efficient decision-making and reliable control.
Main tasks:
- Collect, interpret and analyze financial data;
- Prepare the budget according to the required timetable and format;
- Manage the cost input process with historical analysis and challenge the data provided by business unit managers, supporting the budget manager and business controller;
- Monitoring budget deviations and understanding the causes of deviations, reporting to the executive team;
- Support local management in analyzing costs with a view to reducing them;
- Performing tasks associated with the monthly and annual closing of the income statement and balance sheet;
- Ensuring the monthly and annual closing of accounts;
- Controlling and managing reports, defining the environment and the collection, consolidation, analysis and validation processes to produce forecasts, drawing conclusions about variations in the allocation of resources and recommending corrective actions;
- Preparing financial KPI analyses and operational and financial indicator reports on a monthly basis for the executive team, in accordance with the schedule;
- Carry out analytical reviews of monthly operating results, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the reports;
- Coordinating and ensuring the quality, consistency and timeliness of accounting data (actual/forecast/budget);
- Assisting in the implementation of process improvements;
- Ensuring the application of the internal control system;
- Promote the interests and image of the Organization and act in accordance with the Code of Ethics.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Management or Economics;
- At least 5 years' professional experience in a similar role;
- Solid knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel;
- Experience as an SAP user (preferred);
- Fluent in Portuguese and English;
- Good communication skills;
- Strong logical reasoning and analytical thinking;
- Ability to identify and solve problems;
- High sense of responsibility, organization and adherence to schedules;
