Information Technology Helpdesk Technician Full-time

Here at Mindera, we are building a world class team and would love it for you to join us. As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you?ll be required to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. Interact with minders by chat or in-person to resolve their computer problems related to software and hardware issues to help them get back up running smoothly again.


You must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. You also need to be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult situations.

Alongside with the technician role you will be part of the Office Admin Team that focuses mainly on logistic tasks such as Facilities management, Purchases, keeping an Inventory of the Equipment, Booking Travels as well as driving and/or participating in Cultural, Learning and Social Community initiatives. All these activities will lead you to interact with everyone in the company (and outside Mindera), so you need to be fluent in Portuguese and English.

Requirements


You are good at



  • Being a Tech savvy person

  • Good communication skills and teamwork

  • Working with different Operating Systems (windows, linux, mac)

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer issues

  • Identifying and resolving network, connectivity, and server issues

  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

  • Proficiency in English

  • Preparing technical documents, such as error and maintenance reports

  • Creating user documents and providing training on new computer systems

  • Setting up and installing new hardware and software systems

  • Monitoring and maintaining security systems and installing updates

  • Performing regular tests, upgrades, and backups

  • Keep inventory updated

  • Have knowledge of excel

  • Serving as the first point of contact for minders seeking technical assistance

  • Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions

  • Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by minders

  • Walking the minders through the problem-solving process

  • Directing unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

  • Providing accurate information on IT products or services

  • Recording events and problems and their resolution in logs

  • Passing on any feedback or suggestions by minders to the appropriate internal team

  • Identifying and suggesting possible improvements on procedures

  • Knowing your value and feeling assured of your role in the group/team - self awareness is a must
