Level 3 Technical Support Specialist

Job Details
What you will do:
The primary role of a Level 3 Technical Support Specialist is to assist global service teams in resolving complex installations and system performance related customer issues in a timely manner with a primary focus on RFID (radio frequency identification). The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, able to multitask, and show determination in resolving problems with the goal of complete customer satisfaction.
How you will do it:
- Provide advanced level of technical support for RFID products, Electronic Article Surveillance, Traffic Intelligence, via direct calls, emails, remote diagnostics, and on-site level 3 support
- Frequent interfacing with project management, engineering, and service
- Manage escalated problem accounts through to resolution
- Work with engineering team testing hardware, firmware, and software solutions
- Generate technical bulletins and technical tips for distribution
- Generate detailed trip reports and product test reports
- Review technical documentation for accuracy and clarity
- Track and record support metrics as defined by management
- Attend and or manage product or account related conference calls, webinars, and in-house meetings as the subject matter expert
- Travel both domestic and international may be required.
What we look for :
Required
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
- Working knowledge of RF
- Knowledge of AM technologies
- High level understanding of electronics
- Working knowledge of networks. Experience with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT related hardware (routers, switches, servers)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Fluent in English; both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated, able to work alone or in a collaborative team environment
Preferred
- University degree with 5+ years? work-related experience.
- Network certifications a plus
