Data Engineer

Job Purpose
The Data Engineer will perform his role within the Credit risk team and will be tasked with the monitoring and assessment of data in the Credit risk management system and drives through technical innovation the efficiency of the team. He/she is a self-starter with a positive personality committed to collaborating with our senior management, build trusted partnerships and deliver relevant solutions. Additionally, he/she will be a leader in improving the Credit risk system Quantifi and various subprojects covering data management, reporting framework, automation of tasks amongst others.
Responsibilities
Manage various data and system transition projects for Credit Risk;
Monitor consolidated Credit risk exposure and the credit risk activity within the credit risk system;
Manage and monitor the data feeds into the credit risk system and identify, document, and resolve data errors;
Making sure that credit risk data and internal/external credit risk reporting are accurate and compliant;
Enhance data integrity, processing and reporting through IT and Development skills;
Manage ad hoc data requirements and reporting;
Provide analytical support to other analysts in the Credit Risk team;
Translating business and reporting requirements into credit risk system design;
Admin support and key contact for the Credit risk system for all global users;
To become a strong partner to other support functions and the global Credit Risk team. To actively generate connections to facilitate partnership and collaboration;
Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency of existing processes and Controls;
Strengthen COFCO International Credit Department by presenting added value solutions to facilitate business;
To support the risk department on projects as assigned.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting or similar;
4-5 years of professional experience in data analytics, data engineering and BI reporting in trading companies or financial institutions preferably in Agribusiness or Energy business;
Strong Proficiency in relational databases (SQL Server), Python, Git;
Knowledge in Excel, Business Intelligence tools, SAP and Qlik sense;
Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using ETL tools;
Strong quantitative and data analytical skills;
Familiar with price series/curves, and related topics such as volatility and correlation;
Familiar with advanced credit risk measures such as PFE and CVA;
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely;
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert;
Influence without direct authority;
Language Proficiency: English, Portuguese;
Self-starter.
