General Description
Strategy is Principle Power?s cross-cutting business unit that has responsible for guiding the company?s strategic direction, economic competitiveness, market positioning, and business planning. The Strategy team works closely with the executive management team, business units, and strategic partners to identify and secure commercial opportunities. The position will report to Chief Commercial Officer.
You?ll join a high-performing and dynamic team in Principle Power?s Lisboa, Portugal office that is focused on positioning Principle Power as the global leader in the emerging floating wind sector. We are seeking a skilled and driven professional capable of delivering high-quality work in a flexible and independent manner, supporting teams across the organization to answer strategic questions, and helping our clients and partners realize successful floating wind projects around the world.
Main Accountabilities
Lead Strategy group (team of 3 analysts) to provide analytics and decision support to Executive Management Team and Business Units
Manage, process, and disseminate market intelligence to the company covering market conditions, customers, competitors, supply chain, technology advancements, and project/revenue opportunities
Provide insights to the Business Development and Marketing teams, collaborating to define commercial strategies for different floating offshore wind markets and opportunities around the world
Oversee and maintain Principle Power?s cost models, cost engineering deliverables, and LCOE roadmap
Develop, maintain, and optimize revenue forecasts, business cases, and valuation models, including contributions to Principle Power?s Business Planning Processes
Support Technology team in the growth, industrialization, and management of the WindFloat technology through the application of databases, cost models, targeted Requests for Proposals, tender strategies, etc.
Support Clients in maturing project opportunities, including formation and refinement of business cases and financial models, supply chain strategies, policy/regulatory analysis, financing strategy, etc.
Plan and execute strategic initiatives and develop recommendations based on deep analytics and a clear thought process
Contribute to industry thought leadership through sharing findings in conference presentations, reports, and journal articles
Skills & Competencies
8-10 years of professional experience, or education equivalent
Strong knowledge of renewable energy/power sector economics and renewable energy policies offshore renewables markets
Familiarity with offshore wind markets and technologies
Demonstrated experience with strategy or management consulting from a previous position
Comfort building, maintaining, and improving databases, cost models, revenue forecast models and financial models
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools
Other requirements
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) in English
Creative approach to problem solving and enjoy complicated, quantitative analytical challenges
Systematic and detail-oriented approach to deliver high-quality solutions with short notice
Experience building and managing teams, as well as managing interdisciplinary projects
Comfortable working in multicultural and changing environments
Customer-minded and collaborative, with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for PPI in Portugal
Willingness to travel abroad to support responsibilities
