  Provide direct, hands?on Firewall engineering expertise to help design, install, and maintain various firewall architectures. Troubleshoot and resolve highly technical core service outages and other complex IT system issues. Test and evaluate firewall systems to eliminate problems and improve client core enterprise services in support of users. Work effectively with stakeholders, including program and project managers, end-users, and technical staff to develop, test, implement, and sustain critical IT infrastructure and security architectures. Work in a team?oriented environment that combines technical Firewall engineering talent with business consulting expertise to deliver high quality IT solutions.

• 
  8+ years of experience with firewall architecture, design, testing, development, migration, and integration;
• 
  Experience with COTS firewall infrastructure technologies;
• 
  Experience with Cisco ASA firewall and Checkpoint Firewalls;
• 
  Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining firewall security and service availability throughout the system life cycle
• 
  Ability to work early and late shifts outside of core hours, when scheduled
• 
  Ability to be hands-on and configure firewall rule sets and objects in an enterprise environment
• 
  8570.01M IAT Level II Certification, including Security+, CCNA Security, or CISSP
• 
  Additional Qualifications:
• 
  Experience with working as part of a large ITbased team or project
• 
  Experience with one or more of the following: Cisco switches/routers and Infoblox DNS appliances.
• 
  Ability to perform in a diverse work environment
• 
  Possession of excellent troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
• 
  Possession of excellent clientfacing consulting skills
• 
  Checkpoint R80.10-R80.40 and Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls;
• 
  DNS for both internal and Internet-facing domains;
• 
  Support for McAfee Web Gateway proxy servers, PAC-file support, troubleshooting using QA Web Gateways;
• 
  The candidates should have a working knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and must be able to troubleshoot complex problems in a large-scale enterprise;
• 
  Use Firemon to process firewall queue requests and verify colleagues work for Firewall requests;
• 
  Use DNS admin portal, MS AD DNS and InfoBlox to process; DNS queue requests for internal and Internet domains;
• 
  Support on-demand requests for deployments/upgrades/patches/troubleshooting, etc;
• 
  Point person for NOC/Mission Control to triage outages; the person would, presumably, be available instantly and could engage other engineers if needed;
• 
  Complete scheduled changes that Internet Engineering needed to make after hours (eg. DNS, pac file, firewall, etc), assuming adequate skill-level and availability of other engineers;
• 
  Strong proficiency with English is required.
