About the job

• The Iberian Peninsula Internal Audit Hub is part of BNP Paribas Inspection Générale (IG), and carries out audit assignments on all the activities of the Group both in Spain and in Portugal.

  
  

• Our team is responsible for providing the Audit Hub with the full scope of data services including: data collection, ETL & processing, analysis and visualization.

  
  

• We are looking for highly talented and motivated data scientist to join the growing Data & Analytics Team in Iberian Peninsula Internal Audit Hub. The selected candidate will participate in all steps of the data analytics process.

  
  

Your Main Activities Are

• Create descriptive and predictive analyses addressing key audit mission priorities

  
  

• Apply AI/ML models to data processing automation and discovery

  
  

• Create data visualizations and communicate results with dashboards, reports and presentations

  
  

• Support the activity of the Audit Hub by:

  
  

  • Understanding the needs and requirements of auditors and the audit process

    
    

  • Building analytical and data engineering solutions

    
    

  • Ensuring high quality of delivery

    
    

  • Assisting auditors with ad-hoc data and analytics requests

    
    

• Contribute to disseminate a culture of data driven solutions within the Hub

  
  

• Contribute and share best practices with the whole IG team

  
  

Profile and Skills to Success

Experience

• 5+ years of similar experience on complex multi-dimensional problems

  
  

• Experience creating

  
  

  • Analytics products that incorporate complex business rules

    
    

  • Business-facing dashboards and data visualizations

    
    

Technical skills

• Proven professional experience with:

  
  

  • Developing ETL methods and tools (Tableau Prep, Alteryx or similar)

    
    

  • Programming Python / Pandas / Jupyter data science stack

    
    

  • Data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

    
    

  • Using modern Data/Dev Ops tools and process (git, JIRA, ?)

    
    

• Knowledge of SQL databases

  
  

• Familiarity with advanced data and analytic techniques: Statistical analysis, Machine Learning and AI.

  
  

Soft skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with external stakeholders

  
  

• Rigor and attention to detail.

  
  

• Synthesis: explain the results of a model and the different elements impacting them

  
  

• Flexibility: work in a changing environment

  
  

• Willingness to learn and evolve as a data scientist in a fast-paced, demanding, dynamic team

  
  

Education

• Master?s degree from university with a specialization in engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science

  
  

Languages

• Fluency in spoken and written English

  
  

• French and Portuguese are a plus
