US Custody Settlements and Cash Market Specialist (12 months Fixed Term Contract, Schedule 13H

About the job
Being active part of a team working towards a common goal, following procedures and work organisation.
Dealing with several departments and interact with different BP2S activities, allowing the opportunity to expand the knowledge of all team members.
Your Main Activities Are
Controls and procedures
Status (before, on, and post contractual settle date), troubleshoot and settle transactions with service partners, external clients, agents/depository, and/or counterparties towards trade fail mitigation
Daily monitoring and deadline driven processing of incoming and outgoing transactional instructions from/to client and to/from agent/depository
Adherence to client Service Level Agreements/Descriptions (SLA/SLD)
Inquiry management, with attention to established timelines
Strict observance of Daily checklist, procedural and internal/regulatory/compliance/operation risk controls
Status and resolve cash and/or stock breaks between custody and client or agent/depository and custody along with any additional risk data as assigned by team lead/manager
Elevate potential risk ? client, counterparty, reputational, financial, regulatory, etc. to team leads/manager with immediacy
Review OFAC/Sanction blocks of transactional activity and complete Compliance/Regulatory/Continuing Education ahead of assigned deadlines
Develop solutions with peers, service partners and IT to continually improve quality of service delivery, reporting, and transactional flows with attention towards cost effectiveness, automation, system enhancements, new products/services and efficiency.
Involvement in client/agent/depo asset migrations, system UAT, industry changes, business continuity support, audits or significant productions changes (note: will include some weekend coverage across the year in each location)
Actively participate and contribute to personal development and career development alongside the team lead/manager ? training courses, research, BNP initiatives, etc.
Enrich fail, trade status, and/or client reporting and communicate with service partners towards delivering premier services, developing relationships, and improving the client experience; locally and with global peers across client facing and operational teams
Cross train with peers across global and US activities covered within the Settlements and Cash team for seamless solution delivery
Actively participate in projects ? independently, with team/partners, and regionally
Check and perform technical and/or administrative operations.
Request information from BP2S clients.
Manage setup, processing and validation of operations.
Receive clients? instructions, monitor and analyse data, validate and send instructions (when applicable).
Reports and KPIs (when applicable/requested)
Extract reports and gather information and figures from the different operations and procedures, and report them to support the decision process
Set out statistics from the activity
Ensure client satisfaction
Follow up on clients? instructions.
Ensure that clients? queries (internal and external) are dealt with in a timely and adequate manner.
Check, analyze and escalate errors.
Provide and/or disseminate information to the Account Manager and propose solutions in order to improve client satisfaction.

Profile and Skills to Success
12th Grade (minimum) or Degree (preferred option)
Minimum 2-5 years financial industry experience with an emphasis on settlement processing is desirable
Proven ability to work within a team
Familiarity with securities products and with International income practices is desirable
DTC or Fed direct participant experience (or global depository, ICSD) is desirable
Related knowledge of asset set-up, corporate actions, income, mutual funds, tax issues and reconciliations is desirable
SWIFT messaging - securities, reporting, cash and FX message types is also desirable
Autonomous in handling complex queries both internal and external
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities while respecting tight deadlines
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Displays a keen sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability
Extremely detail orientated
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Proactive, motivated and willing to absorb new concepts
Raise systematically any incident to management if escalation is needed illustrating keen awareness of risk
FINRA licenses are not required
