About the job

We are looking for a team player to work as part of the Global Markets Operations Engineering (OE) team. The OE team consists of driven software and data engineers working on automation projects across several departments of the bank. OE projects are exciting opportunities to help other teams eliminate time consuming and manual processes by harnessing the data involved in new ways and build automated tools that will eliminate human intervention.

The tasks can vary from a quick process reporting to longer automation projects and can include a variety of technologies. It is an exciting role that will allow the successful applicant to work in a variety of business areas within an investment bank and interact with people from different background and skillsets, such as sales, traders, data scientists/engineers, IT developers, project managers and business analysts.

Your Main Activities Are

• Work with the business and IT teams involved to understand the current setup


• Explore and assess the existing architectural landscape and data processes


• Design the architecture and target automated model to replace the existing process


• Prototype the automated solution (usually with Python and PowerBI)


• Collaborate with IT teams that will implement and industrialise your prototype

Profile and Skills to Success

• 5+ years of experience in software development or related field


• Python (other languages will also be considered)


• Database knowledge, such as SQL, Oracle


• Requirements Engineering


• Stakeholder management
