IT Team Lead (Lisbon or Portugal remote) Full-time

Sherpany was founded in 2011 with a vision of creating a world where every meeting counts. Our team is building a mobile and web based platform that allows effective decision making by digitally transforming meeting management processes. To date, over 7,000 leaders have improved their meeting productivity thanks to Sherpany. Within the next 5 years we aim to give back over 2 Mio. hours of extra time to people making decisions thereby enabling them to focus on value-adding work. Our headquarter is located in Zurich and we have offices in Lisbon, Berlin, Milan and Wroclaw.

In this role, you will be leading a team of 4 Sherpanees in the role of IT Solution Owner, CRM-Admin and IT-Operations Manager. You drive the technology landscape of the organization and strive to create value for our end-users. Responsibilities (what you will be doing):

  • Train, coach and motivate your team to ensure a high level of commitment, high quality work whilst building an environment of trust and great cooperation
  • Make sure your team is aligned at all times on what the team objectives are and how to achieve those
  • Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry and pro-actively come up with ideas and initiatives on what and how to implement them at Sherpany
  • Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions.
  • Transform the IT-strategy to a tactical roadmap and ensure its execution
  • Align stakeholders, manage expectations and get their buy-in around your team's vision for the IT-Landscape
  • Oversee, manage, administrate and support Sherpany's internal IT
  • Manage 3rd party service providers and negotiate contracts with vendors

Requirements (what we will love about you):

  • Proven work experience in a leadership position
  • Driven and motivated to be part of a freshly formed IT team
  • A proactive, solution oriented approach and the curiosity to challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are eager to drive Sherpany's internal IT
  • You have previous experience in an IT environment built on SaaS-technology
  • You have the ability to understand a business stakeholders underlying problem and transform it into an IT-solution
  • Fluent in English (spoken, written)

What is your mission in the first 12 months?
After 3 months:

  • You have hired the remaining open position in your team in the role of the Hiring Manager and are confident to have the right people to run a successful team
  • You have understood the strategy 2022 and already planned first tactical initiatives for the next 6 months
  • You have contributed to your first IT-project
  • You have ensured the measurability of your teams objectives
  • You have a clear understanding of where your team stands today, what the objectives are and how to achieve those.

3-6 months:

  • You have ensured that the expected value from your first major CRM-project has materialized
  • You have increased the maturity of our internal IT-support processes
  • You have moved the needle on your KPI's and thus made progress towards your objectives
  • You have a full visibility into the licensing and cost of our SaaS-IT-landscape

6-12 months:

  • You have built strong relationships with your stakeholders from all hierarchy-levels
  • You have set your team up to consistently deliver the expected value through our IT-projects
  • You have built an environment of trust and your team sees not only a leader, but also a coach/mentor in you
  • You have iterated over our operational IT-services (onboarding, offboarding, administration, support etc.) and increased their productivity
