About the job
In order to enhance RISK Corporate capabilities in terms of portfolio analysis, knowledge-sharing & EWS detection, the missions of the RISK Corporate Credit Intelligence & Anticipation (CCIA) analyst will consist in:
Supporting the RISK Corporate Risk Officers in the enlargement of their perimeters
Contribute to the preparation and the production of Sector Review & Read-Across (SR&RA) and Sector and Product Coordination Forums (SPCF)
Contribute to the preparation and production of other credit portfolio-related initiatives that are deemed relevant
Act as the main point of contact for anticipation matters and EWS detection
Your Main Activities Are
- Support to the RISK Corporate Risk Officers
Within RISK, the RISK Corporate Risk Officer mission statement has recently introduced the following evolution:
For the sectorial EMEA based Risk Officers (ROs), an extension to a global basis of certain roles & responsibilities
In line with the Bank?s decision to have RISK act a 2nd line of defence on CSR matters, new roles & responsibilities in this field
ROs? contribution to the monitoring by RISK ORC CIB (as a 2nd line of defence) of operational risk
ROs? contribution to the quality of data
Among the various components of their mission statement, the updated role of the RISK Corporate Risk Officer encompasses:
An enhanced level of information sharing between the Risk Officers and the dedicated point of contacts in all regions (experience and lessons learnt sharing on market updates, deals, portfolio trends, update of business strategy, global risk orientations, alerts?)
Their accountability on the follow-up for the whole CIB portfolio encompassing their underlying activities of their sector perimeter
Their role of RISK Corporate?s representative globally on the portfolio; namely regarding Group level portfolios exercises such as RDPCs, SRRs, RAS envelopes process, CCIRC,?
In order to ensure the operational insertion of the above elements, the CCIA analyst will support the RISK Corporate Risk Officers in:
Ensuring the information sharing between the Risk Officers and the points of contacts in regions through the coordination of regular meetings (2 to 4 a year) to discuss deals, portfolio trends, market updates, lessons learnt and alerts, update of business strategy, risk orientations and any other topic deemed relevant.
This entails, at least;
Regular contacts with contributors (RISK Corporate, RISK Anticipation, EIS)
The definition of a harmonized approach (agenda, templates?)
The preparation of the final support document
The production of minutes of the exchanges
The follow-up of decisions and next steps taken during the meetings
Contribution to the preparation and production of SR&RAs, SPCFs and other credit portfolio-related initiatives within RISK Corporate
Besides, the mission describe above, the CCIA analyst will contribute to the elaboration and coordination of others credit portfolio related initiatives originated by RISK Corporate such as:
Sector Review & Read-Across Forums are regular forums of exchanges that ensure information sharing between Risk Officers and dedicated stakeholders of RISK Corporate on some key topics of the sector. The SR&RA aims at providing an exhaustive (but concise) & RISK Corporate BAU oriented update on the sector, encompassing different type of items (market update, credit & counterparty risk, regulatory update, ESG update, lessons learnt from credit committees, update of business strategy, global risk orientations & emerging risks?) and highlighting the main attention points that could be drawn from them.
Sector and Product Coordination Forums, which are forums which purposes are to develop a transversal view and expertise about the challenges, opportunities and risks faced by a specific sector or product; to help identify the key drivers of the related portfolio, anticipate the future evolution, draw lessons from relevant developments; to contribute to the operational insertion of guidelines and to foster discussions and analysis geared at enhancing the internal risk management framework of the sector/product. It is an on-going forum which aims at creating a framework for fruitful cross-fertilization and exchange of views and experience between the participants from RISK and Business. Each SPCF has a role of animation, portfolio analysis communication and anticipation regarding the related sector or product.
Other credit portfolio reviews held within RISK Corporate that are deemed relevant
Act as the main point of contact for anticipation matters and EWS detection
In addition to the mission of enhancing portfolio analysis capabilities and sharing knowledge through various forums, the RISK Corporate CCIA analyst will also play a key role in risk anticipation.
As such, they will act as referent for EWS detection capabilities within RISK Corporate by:
Preparing, coordinating and animating Single Name EWS Committees
Producing a unique dashboard using all EWS tools at RISK Corporate disposal (ACDC, SFJ,?) to give a consolidated view of triggered alerts during the month to the SCOs and Head of regions
Participating to the continuous development of RISK Corporate?s anticipation capabilities and EWS framework reinforcement by proposing new tools and type of alerts
Contribute to various RISK Corporate ad-hoc exercises
Finally, the RISK Corporate CCIA analyst will be asked to participate to other regular RISK management and monitoring exercises in which RISK Corporate is involved (such as CCIRC, ?) when deemed necessary.
Profile and Skills to Success
Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or Accounting
Fluent in English, French is desirable
Business knowledge in Credit
Analytical Ability
Ability to manage / facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, training
Risk Management awareness
