In the context of Global Markets organization, and of BNPP?s Client-centric strategy, the Trader and Sales Assistant team aims to accompany the continuous enhancement of the quality of service provided to our clients, notably post-trade services. Its role is to support traders and sales in their daily tasks (pre-trade to post-trade processes), in the most timely and efficient manner. The trading and Sales assistant team is the key contact for external clients but also for other BNPP functions.
Your Main Activities Are
There are two distinct roles within the Bond responsibilities, which work in conjunction with each other:
- Trade Bookings, responsible for ensuring that all Cash Bond trades are booked correctly and in a timely manner by enriching the trade details on behalf of the Marketer into the relevant Front Office booking system (STAR / MARTINI / KONDOR) and processing the necessary Block / Splits either by the Electronic messaging systems or by manual input direct into the Front Office systems; ensure all booking queries are addressed and escalated to the Marketer/Trader where appropriate; ensuring that all new accounts identified during the Trade booking processes are requested for set up via MAOS with the correct settlement and confirmation details and within the Client timeliness requirements; ensure that no trades are left on the Technical Counterparty codes longer than 48 hours and that all Client Static Data is kept up to date by passing any new or updated information to the Static Data / NewFunds / On-boarding or SSI teams and by performing ad-hoc reconciliations of our records against those of the Client
- Trade Confirmations, namely to ensure all trades are confirmed to the relevant Client on Trade Date (actively chase Clients for their Trade allocations to ensure that trades are not on the Technical counterparty codes for longer than 48 hours, actively monitor the various exception browsers within Optitrade Confirm and taking the necessary corrective actions, ensure any manual fax confirmation requirements are communicated to the Middle Office Trade Support team immediately and ensure any information relating to new accounts identified in the Trade bookingand make end of working day calls to Key Clients to address any outstanding issues; ensure all trades for pre-determined list of Clients are pre-matched in the market for settlement purposes. Taking any necessary remedial actions to guarantee settlement where possible
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor Degree in areas such as Management or Economics
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and listening in English
- A structured, methodical and organized approach to work
- Entrepreneurial, energetic, positive attitude and commercial mindset
- Ability to solve a number of problems simultaneously is essential, as well as the capacity to work under considerable pressure
- Lateral thinker identifying useful information and navigating obstacles and barriers
