Position Overview
A revolution cannot be done alone, and we need the best and brightest talent to continue our growth into the new modern workplace. We are looking to expand our team by hiring a new Chief Platform Architect, a team player who is ready to make the role their own and bring their own ideas and innovations to the table. Reporting to the VP, Architecture & Engineering, you will support the Product & Technology team by providing advice-in-code for complex and challenging problems.

You will provide direction, mitigate risk, and offer solutions tailored to their business needs. From migrations of existing workloads to building advanced cloud-native solutions, you?ll help shape and execute to increase agility, improve security, reduce costs, and meet utilization targets. You bring a balance of technical depth and interpersonal skills to drive collaboration and coordinate with teams throughout the organization. You?ll work closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, platform, and SRE teams to align on architecture and operations. You bring focus to and support the decisions that matter when utilizing the cloud computing services

Key Responsibilities

• Architect multi-cloud platform for developing and operating ElementsGS offerings with cloud native engineering and zero-ops as guiding principles. Develop architecture for core platform services.
• Design the platform with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and privacy requirements (FedRAMP, PCI, SOC2, GDPR, and more) Experience building large-scale data platforms (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, etc.).
• Develop company-wide architecture standards and best practices to drive efficiency.
• Oversee build of cloud-native applications based on scalable, portable, and resilient designs.
• Provide thought leadership and own the long-term architectural vision for multi-cloud SaaS delivery platform. Understand design patterns, domain-driven design, component-based architecture, and evolutionary architecture.

What We Value

• You have experience architecting and building scalable cloud infrastructure and processes with expertise in building platform using self-managed tools like Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, Linux, Helm, Terraform, developer tools, and at least one public cloud services, Azure or GCP.
• You have BS degree in Computer Science, and 15+ years of software development experience.
• You have CNCF Certification, Kubernetes Administration preferred
• You are Passionate about opensource and Inner Sourcing Development Model
• You have the ability to lead discussions about complex solution design trade-offs and drive conflict resolution.
