Your Main Activities Are

• 
  Provide specialized advice in the context of environmental & social (E&S) due diligence for sensitive transactions and clients and new business initiatives and / or products with a positive impact.


• Lead preparation of reports for various internal & external stakeholders;


• Develop training and communication materials;


• Strongly contribute to the evolution of the existing ESG risk assessment framework (processes, procedures, guidelines, tools & supporting documents);


• Strongly contribute to the team?s growth by:
  
  • Developing and sharing strong E&S knowledge on specific industry sectors/topics.
  
  
  • Mentoring new joiners to the team.
  
  
  • Developing strong and tight relationship with CIB stakeholders, namely RISK function and Business Lines.
  
  
• Strongly contribute the implementation of sustainability initiatives within the Bank.

Profile and Skills to Success

• Degree from a Scientific / Engineering School (mandatory), ideally complemented with research project linked to Sustainability.

• At least 4 years of relevant ESG-related experience


• Knowledge/experience in the Banking industry is a plus


• Very strong communication and analytical skills


• Ability to work under tight deadlines


• Team player


• Rigour and detail oriented


• Autonomy and ability to take initiative


• Fluent in English


• Fully computer literate including mastering Microsoft Office software

About the Team

The ESG Analyst will join the CIB CSR Analysis & Advisory (A&A) team. The Team has a global mandate within CIB and has a dual location: Lisbon and Paris. The Team?s mission is:

• Ensure a rigorous extra-financial analysis for CIB clients and transactions, focusing on environmental and social (E&S) performance.


• Work with business & coverage teams to understand and evaluate their clients' E&S performance and to engage with them as necessary, including the identification of related business opportunities.


• Anticipate and integrate new E&S trends in a fast changing context through active participation in leading industry initiatives.


• Contribute actively to the evolution of the CSR assessment framework at BNP Paribas.
