Global Advanced Analytics Analyst

The Worldpanel division of Kantar recruits a Global Advanced Analytics Analyst. We look for a person with a passion for advanced analytics solutions who will make a significant impact on blue-chip companies, embarking on an exciting challenge to significantly improve our global analytical capability.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in developing a new suite of software solutions that require advanced analytical procedures embedded within them to meet the increasingly complex needs of our clients. To do so, you will work with an international community of experts to combine best-in-class data collection and preparation through top-end, efficient coding ending with dynamic final client deliverables.
Utilizing industry-leading consumer information and statistical techniques, you will help our customers address their toughest marketing-related issues and identify opportunities to grow.

Our Analytical Solutions Team provides the opportunity to quickly grow your expertise in the field of Data Science by working and learning with a group of expert analysts and with some of the most powerful analysis tools and techniques available to understand the real-life consumer behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Kantar Worldpanel local and global advanced analytics team, as well as key clients to create best in class outputs to deliver to our suite of clients;
- Apply a range of statistical techniques and modelling processes to transactional and attitudinal data to help build innovative solutions to answer our clients? business questions;
- Work on the development of new skills, new analytical approaches and new ways of representing insight;
- Acting as an analytical expert on key global projects, providing advice internally to ensure that our approaches and outputs remain best-in-class;
- Support the development of junior members of the team, building the analytical and technical skills and offering problem-solving advice on specific projects.
Requirements
- University degree in a mathematical/scientific discipline, preferably with a statistics element;
- A Masters-level degree in a closely related disciple (statistics, data science, etc.) and/or professional experience in analytics and modelling;
- Experience applying analytics applications in production settings;
- Ability to code in R essential. Knowledge of Shiny R, SAS, Python etc. advantageous;
- Experience working with relevant modelling techniques ? clustering techniques, regression, probability modelling etc.;
- Great organisational skills with the right level of creativity;
- Critical thinking and collaborative leadership;
- Experience working across our tech stack which includes - Java, Spring, Angular, Databricks, Spark, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes all running in an Azure environment ? beneficial;
- A self-starter working across various levels of stakeholders to form complex briefs while pushing back where appropriate to achieve best outcomes;
- Experience in working as part of wider project teams;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Fluent in English (other languages are advantageous).
