Our client is a multi-award winning, international, innovative company providing sustainable energy from waste to Future Cities and established communities.
The company is headquartered in London, UK; with a distributed (remote working) team, and activities throughout the UK, Americas, Europe, and Asia. They also have a US-based subsidiary in New York City.
Their mission is to develop and commercialise anaerobic digestion technologies to turn organic waste into energy exactly at the point where the waste is produced and the energy is required, disrupting the traditional food waste management with a solution that fits Future Cities concept and complies with the strictest environmental regulations.

Descrição

• Plan and lead the migration of the business's systems to cloud-based implementations.


• Research, test and implement hardware, software applications, tools, and API integrations.


• Provide IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users (Windows, MacOS/IOS, Linux).


• Lead and/or contribute towards new software development projects.


• Support the Engineering team by contributing towards the planning, design, installation, commissioning, and support of product's process control systems


• Manage outsourced software and hardware development projects.


• Manage automated testing of custom development software.


• Manage in house and outsourced development of documentation for products and tools.


• Support the Customer Success team by acting within technical and admin roles for customer service tools, and documentation management and sharing tools.


• Plan, implement and maintain information security protocols through controlled hardware or software installation and staff education.


• Troubleshooting, support, and repair when IT equipment or networks malfunction.


• Implement robust and secure version control system for storing programs and files.


• Provide design input and feedback for R&D projects.
  

Perfil ideal

• Master's degree in Computer Science or similar.


• Sound experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of information systems, at both hardware and software level.


• Solid IT and networking competency, including knowledge of cyber security best practices, automated remote data transmission and collection, database configuration and manipulation.
  
• Experience in software development.


• 'Power User' level in both Windows and MacOS environments.


• Able to work unsupervised, function as part of a team, and build/lead a team.


• A team player; willing to participate in other areas to support colleagues as required.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.


• Willing and able to travel to the UK and overseas as needed (occasionally for extended periods).
