Your position and environment?

Our Faurecia Seating Business Group ? Covers & Foam Division is looking for you as a VIE Productivity Buyer m/f for our Site in São João da Madeira, Portugal.

Your role and responsibilities?

The Productivity Buyer is piloting with a cross-functional team (sales/purchasing/R&D/Operations) dedicated to foster productivity activities of the Division like, but not limited to: Kaizen, Monozukuri, Lean, etc.

Essential responsibilities and duties are:

• Support purchasing budget construction by sizing potential saving for ideas in the pipeline


• Establish, feed and monitor detailed portfolio for VAVE, MoB and resourcing activities


• Execute and coordinate actions with stakeholders to reach budget targets


• Contribute to plant results review with operations, finance, controlling


• Accountable for the series purchasing performance of plant(s) under his/her scope


• Contribute to efficient handover at Gate 4 lead by Program buyers


• Participate ECR meetings in series, lead ECR related actions for purchasing scope


• Execute resourcing and Make or Buy in serial life, based on Operation's priorities and Commodity Buyers guidance


• Manage transfer/resourcing/relocalization activities with suppliers in series.

The main missions of the role are:

• Execute risk mitigation plan defined by commodity, support administrative actions


• Review and monitor weekly purchasing productivity plan under his/her scope, lead performance review with plant teams


• Identify and implement all productivity actions (int/ext VAVE) in coordination with Commodity Buyers and relevant functions


• Define and Coordinate activities with commodity and SQ&D representatives to develop Supplier workshops and value-creation initiatives


• Implement best practices in his/her scope


• Support troubleshooting activities linked to delivery /supply chain disruption when escalation from PC&L and Quality. Involve commodity when necessary (threshold to be defined)


• Support execution of admin actions to be done at plant level (temporary outsourcing/ resourcing)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business with a specialization in Purchasing

• First experience in Purchasing

• Experience including an international assignment would be an advantage Knowledge of productivity / lean management methodology, production, quality and logistics


• Fluent English


• Good written and oral presentation skills


• International mindset


• Ability to work in a matrix organization


• Strong analytical capabilities


• Results oriented
