Heat Pump technology for residential heating and cooling is known and acknowledged as leading technology within the Electrification to realize significant reductions of CO2 emissions.

You will have the opportunity to join into a growing and cross-functional product development team of Residential Heat Pumps in Aveiro. Your contribution as Development engineer will create the essential value add into successful product introduction for our heat pump business.

• 
  Development Engineer for residential heat pumps with the main focus on realization of laboratory technologies and their usage within product development.
• 
  Coordinate upcoming lab investments and ensure communication with plant responsible and suppliers for lab infrastructure.
• 
  Specification of test rigs and lab infrastructure.
• 
  Specification of heat pump requirements with the background of the entire heating/cooling and domestic water system.
• 
  Specify test plans and execute development tests within internal laboratory or with external test institutes.
• 
  Analyze and evaluate test data and create results out of it.
• 
  Issue technical description and documentation for laboratory, test and products (reports, procedures).

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

• 
  MsC or PHD ? Mechanical or Physics Engineering.
• 
  Knowledge in thermodynamics and refrigeration.
• 
  Able to understand complex system development.
• 
  Knowledge in laboratory and testing specification.
• 
  Refrigeration and/or Hydraulic professional background is a benefit.
• 
  Familiarity with Product Development tools (FMEA, DFMA, FAM) is valued.
• 
  Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• 
  Project experience in product development.
• 
  Preferred > 3 years development (lab) experience.
• 
  Organisational attitude and structured way of working.
• 
  Able to take responsibility for own work and apply own initiative to finding solutions in a structured way.
• 
  Analytic and result oriented with pro-active attitude.
• 
  Ability to work in a team environment.
• 
  Good communication skills, precise and structured. Able to explain complex circumstances in a clear manner.
• 
  English: high level in written and verbal communication.
• 
  Willingness to travel and to work in an international environment.
