About this role
As a Software Tester working for a rapidly growing international SaaS business, you will have a hands-on testing role at ToucanTech, working with a small software development and product team on existing and greenfield projects. You will be working with highly progressive technology (web and mobile), and will be the lead testing resource, operating Unit, CIT, SIT and UAT activities (alongside the wider team). You will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of our software products and custom solutions through planning and implementing structured system tests and performance tests. The role will require you to be highly solution-focused and show close attention to detail and is a critical step in our journey towards best-in-class solution delivery, with zero errors.
We are looking for a talented, smart and enthusiastic individual to join our experienced team. Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the organisation?s testing programme for all new feature and enhancement deployments
Defining quality requirements and standards
Designing and creating test scenarios for functional and integration tests
Controlling the execution and documentation of tests, undertaking unit, integration, system and acceptance testing activities
The development and operation of our test framework
Evaluation of test results
Managing the development and operation of our test infrastructure
Creating automated testing systems/ programmes
Designing and implementing robust test processes, driving forwards improvements in QA practices
Working across multiple environments, web and mobile solutions
You'll be part of a product team of seven people working alongside a larger technical team with 6 full time web and mobile developers. ToucanTech also has staff working in data, sales, marketing, operations and customer support and training.
Your skills and experience
Proven experience in software testing with confidence to set up robust testing documentation/ infrastructure from scratch
Excellent spoken and written English
Solid experience in leading testing throughout a project life cycle, preferably in a SaaS environment
Experience of creating automated testing systems/programmes
Experience of testing activities for both web and mobile solutions
Demonstrable experience of improving QA processes in previous organisations
ISTQB certified
Masters/ bachelors in IT or similar/ equivalent qualification
Your attributes
Self-driven and hardworking, with excellent analytical and communication skills
The ability to recognise and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
Highly organised with an outstanding attention to detail
Work well with an internal Product and Development team
