Role Description: Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)

At Fjord, Product Design is the heartbeat of our design practice, and what ensures our work communicates clearly, is on brand, and delights users. Product Designers work collaboratively in the design teams, absorbing the project?s needs, creating concepts, and evolving the client?s experiences in an engaging way. As a Product Designer, you?ll be accountable for concepts and UX/UI design artefacts at the project level.

As a Senior Product Designer, you:

• 
  Uncover user needs through research, develop deep insights, generate concepts, and craft how people will interact with the products and services we design.

• 
  Participate in UX/UI Design activities, including client workshops, user interviews, and creative brainstorms.

• 
  Design user interfaces for any type of platform, concept sketches, presentation decks, design systems, and storyboards under direction of the project?s Design Lead.

• 
  Contribute to the definition and creation of flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries.

• 
  Explain and discuss design decisions eloquently and give design feedback.

• 
  Manage and own some UX/UI Design activities and deliverables at the project level.

• 
  Frame and tell the story of design solutions. Contribute to the communication of research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.

• 
  Understand brand strategy and the organizational/political dynamics of assigned brands, including the critical processes that drive them and the key players involved. Translate or extend the brand identity system to digital touch-points

• 
  Be a Fjord ambassador, attending and helping to plan studio and community events, workshops, and conferences.

Required Experience:

• 
  5-8 years of UX/UI design experience, preferably at a digital agency (graduate-level study may count toward 1-2 years of professional experience).

• 
  Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience in UX/UI Design.

• 
  High command of standard design applications (i.e. Sketch, Figma Illustrator, Keynote, InVision); Experience with prototyping software, motion graphics and Microsoft Office is a plus.

• 
  Strong digital design portfolio with examples on multiple touch-points that demonstrate conceptual problem solving and the ability to define look and feel for integrated experiences.

• 
  Intermediate awareness of delivery methodologies with an emphasis on agile.

• 
  Ability to utilize feedback/direction from the Design Lead to generate multiple design explorations and iterate those designs to the satisfaction of the Design Lead.

• 
  Ability to speak professionally in client presentations in Portuguese, Spanish and English
