Account Manager

About the job
Managing client related tasks around withholding taxes and German capital gain taxes.
Your Main Activities Are
Answer on external client requests
Support colleagues and other teams in case of support required (e.g. in case of backlogs, counseling)
Ensure the regular reporting to clients
Guarantee the timely and correct processing of allocated tasks
Increase the effectiveness and the quality of processes within her/ his area of competence
Be closely involved and take initiative in the development, testing and implementation of procedural and technical enhancements (e.g. project or special tasks)
Train newcomers and provide cross-training
Ensure the implementation of Operational Risk Management procedures and tools in daily business and provide the full support to Risk Management, ORC, OPC, Compliance and Audit control initiatives
Ensure the service, which is described in the Service Level Description or Service Level Agreement
Guarantee the follow up of all rules given by the relevant regulation and legislation (e.g. Custody Law, KAGB, Investmentgesetz, WPhG)
Ensure that transactions/investigations comply with the internal/external policies and regulations and that all audit requirements are met
Ensure relevant deadlines and other performance standards are met
Ensure the escalation of issues is reported to line manager
Ensure up-to-date procedures are maintained
Support the Business Continuity Planning concept of BP2S by means of participating in tests and highlight missing continuity preparations to management
Immediately highlight incidents and all control deficiencies to department management and ORC, OPC
Collect data for KPI & KRI-Management and prepare team performance statistics
Ensures the communication flow within the team and between the teams of the Department
Work closely together with Relationship Management, Sales and Product team providing expertise and support
Participate in Client Services reviews and calls and participate in presentations accordingly
Generate tax reclaims for clients
Correctly deliver correctly tax forms to the /Global Custody Hub
Clarify reclaim-related issues with clients and Global Custody Hub
Monitor and follow-up of tax reclaims
ldentify relevant tax changes
lnitiate e-tax filing for eligible non-German clients
Maintenance of tax documents for clients safekeeping accounts
- lssue tax vouchers and Fokusbank reporting
Profile and Skills to Success
Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Experience in client facing positions
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work and collaborate with others
Attention to detail/rigor
Organizational skills
Ability to deliver/Results driven
Communication skills - oral & written
Client focused
Fluent in English
