Microsoft is going through a transformational change to become a Cloud first, Mobile first company. Enabling our customers businesses through Azure is a key focus for the organization.
The WE Data & AI Lead is a senior leader within our enterprise sales organization working in Western Europe (WE) Area HQ team and virtually leading and developing high performing Subsidiary Data & AI Solution Managers and Subsidiary Data & AI Specialists across 12 countries. These teams are responsible to drive solution opportunity revenue and market share in 12 subsidiaries by leveraging the Microsoft Data Platform (on-premises software and Azure services) to meet customers data modernization, analytics and IOT solution needs.
We are looking for highly-experienced and motivated sales talent to work in our WE Area HQ team to help our subsidiary teams and their customers realize the value of Azure in their business. Responsibilities
Be the Data & AI Solution Sales leader and expert in WE Area HQ:
Work with each Subsidiary Data & AI sales teams in rolling out our Data & AI company strategy to 12 markets
Be a senior solution sales leader within our enterprise sales organization working with our 12 subsidiaries
Be the Data & AI expert in WE Area HQ.- Build credibility as a domain ?thought-leader? representing Microsoft in all engagements
Work with each Subsidiary D&AI Specialist and Sales Leaders in rolling out our Data & AI company strategy to 12 markets
Work with subsidiaries to drive new revenue growth across a wide variety of Data & AI solutions by coaching in excellence in pipeline management, deal making and deal closing and consumption to achieve monthly, quarterly and fiscal yearly forecasts / targets
Support subsidiaries in delivering customer business transformation and success through accelerated adoption and usage resulting in customer references that can be leveraged in future sales engagements
Drive an environment of competing aggressively and proactively to win new business and share through differentiated customer business value
Be key transformational lead in driving the Data & AI strategy with leadership teams both in subsidiaries and in Western Europe Area HQ
Work closely with key stakeholders across Western Europe Area team ? such as Data & AI Business Groups and partner with key EMEA Timezone and Corp stakeholders
Be the key WE Area HQ team member in supporting subsidiaries with interfacing with customers:
Coach Subsidiary Data & AI sales teams in owning oportunities from start to close, and driving consumption by orchestarting virtual teams consisting of technical and partner roles. Leverage partners and the wider Data & AI community in Microsoft to scale sales motions and coach sellers to bring together Microsoft solutions with Partner solutions, to deliver value to our customers
Coach Specialist?s with a ?challenger mentality? by prompting Sellers to engage early and lead with new insights on how to grow the customers? business
Engage with subsidiaries on operational execution of complex deals with operations and product teams
Be a key escalation point for subsidiaries in overcoming barriers for closing deals
Together with our D&AI Sales teams, engage at CxO level to support and coach teams on opportunity discovery, acceleration and consumption
Make others great at driving Data & AI acquisition and consumption
Drive a high performing virtual community of Data & AI Specialist sellers and Data & AI Managers across 12 subsidiaries in Western Europe:
Manage the Western Europe community of Data & AI sellers and Managers across 12 subsidiaries by building a trusted environment for teams to work together, learn together and win together
Build a high performing Data & AI virtual community across 12 subsidiaries in Western Europe
Learn about Data & AI, the market, competitors and customer needs and share these learnings with the Western Europe community of Data & AI sellers and Managers
Drive cross-team collaboration in Microsoft, to bring the best that Microsoft has to offer to all our customers
Qualifications
Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
Professional
10+ years of experience developing high-performing enterprise software platform / cloud platform sales teams and a proven track record of exceeding team quotas/targets at Microsoft or competitor (Oracle, IBM, etc.)
Management. Successful management of large-scale, complex deal cycles at Fortune 1000 accounts.
Management: Experience of managing at an Area level across multiple countries
Leadership:- Coaching direct reports and virtual teams in pipeline management, opportunity management, and account planning. Proven experience of leading virtual teams, with multi-country area management preferred
Ability to lead virtually (without direct organizational management) a community of Data & AI sellers and Managers across subsidiaries to high-performance and growth
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.- Excellent Communicator. Executive level communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to mentor others.
Technical
Technical Knowledge. Possess both business acumen expertise and technology knowledge to connect how customer business issues impact their IT environments.
Certifications. Azure Admin Associate or Architect required
Education
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a similar information technology-related discipline, or in Business Administration, or relevant job experience required.- Master?s degree preferred
Certification in sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), and consultative selling desired
Additional training or education in Enterprise Architecture preferred
