Job Purpose
Support to strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver long term programs for technical and professional services categories which support the business requirements of the EMEA, SSA, North & Central America, Asia Pacific regions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day to day purchasing activities for EMEA, SSA, North & Central America and Asia Pacific;
- Implementation support of CIL global procurement policy in the regions: local procurement procedures to be aligned with the Global Procurement Policy;
- Implementation of procurement strategies, road maps and globalization initiatives for the regions, in relation with Global Procurement;
- Act as a procurement partner for the local business stakeholders;
- Active cooperation and provide procurement guidance to cross-functional project teams;
- Conducting negotiations and contract management with domestic and international suppliers and service providers;
- Responsible to guarantee compliance with procurement processes and legal requirements;
- Maintenance and quality assurance of relevant master data;
- Generate cost reduction initiatives to meet the corporate goals and identify best solutions to provide long-term value to the business;
- Launch of supplier development initiatives;
- Ability to successfully drive projects;
- Conduct internal and external benchmarking studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor?s degree, post-graduate / masters in engineering, business administration or purchasing;
- Fluency in English is a must, other languages are an asset;
- At least 5 years of international procurement experience with demonstrated progress preferably in manufacturing/automotive organizations;
- Experience in strategic procurement and strategy definition;
- Preferably experienced in technical categories;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with a customer-oriented profile;
- Experience in SAP/ERP Procurement solutions (S/4HANA MM, Ariba?);
- Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and solve problems;
- Project Management skills are an asset.
