Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Operations, the Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Responsibilities also include supporting overall financial reporting along with ad-hoc duties as required.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Operations, the Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Responsibilities also include supporting overall financial reporting along with ad-hoc duties as required.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage global export invoicing ensuring IFRS and US GAAP revenue recognition criteria is met;
- Ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting activities are completed and a timely and accurate manner;
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and assist in the production of accurate financial reports or statements;
- Record all business transactions, process accruals and adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the preparation of monthly accounting statements;
- Review financial data for accuracy, correctness, and completeness;
- Prepare, manage and process all items related to Fixed Assets and CAPEX forecasts;
- Prepare tax reporting on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis;
- Develop and maintain accounting files and records;
- Provide support and financial expertise to all departments;
- Keep abreast of domestic and international developments, laws and policies that may affect the financial operations of the organization;
- Assist in the development of standard accounting procedures to improve financial operation efficiency;
- Assist with creating and updating internal controls, policies, and procedures;
- Intercompany reconciliation and liaison with our international colleagues;
- Validation of internal forms for ERP import
- Willingness and qualifications to be the official CC (Contabilista Certificado) for the group in Portugal
- Designated member of CPA/TOC preferred;
- Academic degree in Accounting, Economics, Management or similar;
- Experience as an auditor in a BIG 4 or SROC firm or in the accounting department of a multinational company;
- 5 years relevant working experience is required;
- Experience in both public and industry an asset;
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/SNC;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Good level of English;
- Must like challenges and have the ability to solve problems;
- Results oriented;
- Collaborative with strong ability to influence.
