DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Transformation ? Target operating Model Practice is part of the Change Management department of BNP Paribas CIB in Portugal. The Practice aims at supporting CIB Transformation by:
Designing new operating models based on new business activities, services and products
Identifying gaps between the current operating model (COM) and what should be delivered (TOM)
Enabling the operational implementation of the business strategy
Identifying disruptive, tactical and strategic quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities
Supporting the business in the assessment of the quality and capacity of an existing model.
The team provides services to all CIB business lines worldwide and manages an international portfolio with crossborder projects.
There are three roles within Transformation - TOM: Transformation Associate, Project Leader and Transformation Leader. The evolution between roles is linked to an increase of expertise based on training and experience defined/customised to each TOM PM.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Ensure people and team spirit development:
Inspire, manage, train on-the-job and motivate the team members
Give and ask for feedback regularly
Contribute to further build a meaningful team of external and internal talents in CIB transformation (sourcing, recruiting, staffing, evaluation, etc)
Act as 'Manager-coach' for a designated number of Transformation Associates
Coaching of new coming Project Leaders
2) Deliver impactful project mgmt & CIB knowledge on projects:
Ensure proper reporting to program manager / sponsor(s) by presenting: (1) Decision to make and related analyses, (2) Risk to mitigate and related impacts, (3) Roadblocks to anticipate, (4) Main dependencies and (5) Progress update and deadlines
Ensure proper monitoring of delivery and proper challenge of progress update
Contribute to deliverables and studies related to his/her core expertise(s)
Ensure smooth and clear internal communication within the project
Ensure good team spirit and motivation (and alert program manager / sponsor(s) if need be)
Contribute to programs/projects with in-depth core expertise(s) methodological knowledge
Contribute to formalization of methodologies and training materials related to his/her core expertise(s)
Contribute to training related to his/her core expertise(s)
3) Enrich client experience to build long term client relationships:
Develop network and trust with clients (building upon credibility and reliability) at up to middle management level
Lead clients meetings with good interviewing techniques and take lead in client presentations (due to mastering of content and presentation skills)
Develop an understanding of the client's political stakes and how top management decisions are made
Promote Change Management/ CIB Transformation in front of CIB middle management to enhance our brand equity
Good skills for the role (mastering level)
PROFILE
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Management or Data Management
4 to 7 years of professional experience in Operations Management or Project Management
Advanced level of English
Client and results driven
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strategic mindset and ability to manage a project
Analytical ability, critical thinking and problem solving
Lean Six Sigma knowledge
