Credit Risk Data Analyst Full-time

This role is within RISK I2S, one of the five Business domains of RISK - BNP Paribas Group risk function. The


RISK I2S domain has responsibility of the credit risk profile of all Institutional clients, intragroup entities and Market Infrastructures and related credit approval process, including all BP2S business lines and activities.

Specifically, this role will be within the Credit Risk Control Team (CRC). CRC acts as a second level control team within RISK. In that respect, the head of CRC has a dual reporting line to the head of RISK Corporates and RISK I2S. CRC?s main responsibilities are to ensure:


  • The conformity of credit and counterparty risk with credit committee decisions


  • Monitoring of exceptions to alert and anticipate undertaken risks


  • Reporting of Credit Risk exposures


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Within this team, the role of the Risk Process and Data Analyst will consist in working transversally with the operational CRC and Credit Analyst teams (in Lisbon and in the hubs) on rationalization, harmonization and industrialization of control and reporting processes. This role will require a dynamic problem-solving approach to achieve real added value via the re-engineering, improvement and streamlining of processes and reports via a variety of technologies (R, Python, Excel VBA?). Initiative will be needed in proposing innovative solutions for achieving concrete gains in terms of process improvement.


Responsibilities will include, among other tasks:


  • Analyze and re-engineer processes around Excess Management and Risk Monitoring in order to harmonize, gain efficiency and reduce operational risk related to existing practices


  • Create and maintain the inventory of automated process for RISK I2S CRC & CSA teams


PROFILE


  • Education: Graduate in relevant subject (e.g. Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Sciences)


  • Experience: 1-3 Years


  • Languages: English


  • Strong analytical skills


  • Excellent problem solving skills and initiative


  • Relevant expertise in computing/data science techniques and technologies


  • Ability to work autonomously


  • Advanced knowledge of VBA and/or SQL


  • Solid knowledge of R and/or Python. Experience in other relevant technologies and computing languages a positive


  • Knowledge and Experience in data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI)
