Product Manager ? New Products and Processes (Financial Services)

Sonae Financial Services is a financial institution leader in the issuance of credit cards in Portugal (?Cartão Universo?) with almost 1 million customers. It has the goal of disrupting the banking industry in Portugal by competing in the arena of consumer payments, credit and insurance.

We are hiring a product manager to integrate the product team of Sonae Financial Services. The product manager will be responsible for defining a product vision taking in consideration the market context, customer requirements and company strategy and fostering the implementation of new products, new features or new processes. The product manager will work closely with other areas of the company (in particular engineering, marketing and legal) to ensure the revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The product manager is expected to:

• 
  Become an expert in relation to competition and customer needs
• 
  Define the product strategy and development roadmap
• 
  Develop detailed plans for the implementation of new products, features or processes
• 
  Act as a leader within the company overcoming barriers to get things done
• 
  Manage external partners (e.g. financial institutions, retailers, tech providers, ?)
  
• Regularly track product performance (e.g. sales, income, churn, ?)
• 
  Implement and support marketing campaigns

Requirements:

• 
  Minimum of 5 years? experience preferably as Product Manager, Project Manager or Management Consultant
• 
  Degree in Management, Economics or Engineering
  
• Master degree in the field of Management (preferred)
• 
  Experience in the banking industry will be valued, but it?s not a requirement
• 
  Ability to address complex problems in structured manner
• 
  Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• 
  Excellent communication skills
• 
  Good planning skills
• 
  Technology awareness will be valued
