DATA ENGINEER

(Lisbon)

We are looking for a data engineer to integrate the Business Development team of Sonae Financial Services in Lisbon office. He will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our current data models and data pipelines (batch and real time). The right candidate is a data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up and that would be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our current data architecture.

Sonae Financial Services is a fintech with the goal of offering innovative financial solutions to consumers by leveraging in the unique resources base of Sonae Group. SFS current offer comprises Universo credit card, personal loans, insurances, private label pre-paid cards and remittances.

Job Description

Create and maintain current data models, pipelines, and ETL processes

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing data infrastructure, etc.

Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL Server and Azure technologies.

Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product and other teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Requirements

Excellent knowledge of SQL and SQL databases (data modelling and data warehousing)

Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

Experience performing root cause analysis on internal data to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Experience using SQL Server tools (Integration Services, Analysis Services) and previous contact with Azure Cloud (Data Factory, Event Hub, Stream Analytics,..)

We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
