Within CIB ITO Global Market Operations, Corporate-actions, Incomes and Taxes department belongs to Trade Processing unit and is in charge of tracking and following-up corporate actions, incomes, and related taxes purposes on behalf entities within CIB ITO GM
Job responsibilities
Corporate actions department is specialized in analyzing and operating, in books and records, any kind of corporate actions impacts surrounding business or clients? balances. Alongside this department, US Tax Operations team is in charge of specific tax controls & operations mainly over manufacturing incomes and French 119A BIS regulation and on QI/WHA/871M purpose on US securities. The entities being supervised by this function are BNPP ARBITRAGE SNC, BNPP SA and BNPP LONDRES (Fixed Income)
The U.S. Qualified Intermediaries QI and 871M Regulations require that BNPP conduct several controls over payments of U.S. source incomes aliases as fixed, determinable annual or periodical (?FDAP?) to foreign persons or U.S. recipient. BNPP has the mission to obtain, control and validate tax documentation relating to the beneficial owners of the income to determine the application of the tax treaty benefits, and cascade the withholding controls from upstream agents to beneficial owners, with all-purpose of documentation, withholding, payments, reconciliations and reporting
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep on enriching relations with the business lines representative and network agents.
- Day-to-day interaction with New York, Lisbon, London, and Paris tax team, Regulatory offices, Operational teams, compliance, counterparties & custodians
- Respect any timeline and deadline cutoffs, while retro planning the operational controls ahead of deadlines
- Keep on documenting all procedures in place to stick market and process evolutions
- Contribute in all control plan protocols according local operational risk policies and Generic Control Plans
- Contribute in precision and accuracy of activity metrics and escalate any relevant problems or achievements to management on a continuous basis

- Fluent in English
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Compliant with local guidance and conformity policies
- Extremely rigorous
- Flexible in adapting methodologies to context
- Strong analytics capabilities and problem solving
- Able to work under pressure and dynamic, evolving environment
- Dispose strong team spirit and client focus mindset
- Financial markets knowledge
